Calvino Studio is the Architectural practice of Architects and sisters Alicia and Patricia Calvino.
At Calvino Studio we create positive and distinctive architecture that delivers form and function for every project. We have a shared passion for environmentally conscious, innovative and practical design.
We are a confident and dynamic practice that celebrates our two distinctive personalities which embraces all branches of architecture. We always approach our projects in a collaborative way, providing creative thinking and problem solving skills for each and every client. We create distinctive design on all scales, delivering high quality design with people at its heart.

Alica graduated with Honors from Polytechnic University of Barcelona (Barcelona-Tech) (ETSAV) in 2013. Where she read her Master Thesis Project on a sustainable Cultural Centre in Cuenca, Spain designed following Passivhaus construction strategies. She was granted an international scholarship to study at the Univerité Catholique de Louvain in Brussels. In Barcelona, After having developed a personal project on the regeneration of the Agricultural Park by the Llobregat River she earned a role in Batller i Roig Arquitectes where she was part of their Landscape and Enviromental Management Team.
She moved to London in 2014. Since then she has worked for Denizen Works, Jestico + Whiles and Base Interior on a variety of different projects at different scales. Her experience includes award wining and international Residential, Education, Housing and Interior Design Projects.
With an interest in communication, and a natural curiosity for cultures all around the globe, Alicia is fluent in Spanish, Catalan, English and French. She cycles everywhere and has a livelong passion for cinema. On her own time she also likes getting involved in helping to improve her community. Alicia has been invited on several occasions to be part of the professional Critique Panels for both The John Cass (London Met) and The Interior Design School.

Patricia graduated with Honors from Polytechnic University of Catalonia (Barcelona-Tech) (ETSAV) in 2013. She was granted an international scholarship to study at Politecnico di Torino in 2012 where she developed her Master Thesis on urban impact of university in the city. While studying she worked as an assistant teacher for the Polytechnic University of Catalonia - Barcelona.
Before moving to London, Patricia worked for a year in the Netherlands at Diederen Dirrix where she was involved in a range of architectural and masterplanning projects in Holland. In 2015 she joined the urban design team at Levitt Bernstein where she is now a Senior Urban Designer. There she has worked on a large number of projects including residential masterplanning, Estate Regeneration and Town Centre strategies amongst others. She has very strong experience in community engagement something about which she is extremely passionate.
Patricia is now a member of the CADAP Panel at Tower Hamlets.
In her own time, Patricia has always loved picking up new skills such as Pottery, Graphic Design or Languages. She is an amateur runner and an avid defender of cycling over driving: not only for ecological reasons, but also to enjoy and get to know better the city you live in.
